Kawhi Leonard has signed a three-year, $153 million contract extension with the LA Clippers.
The deal will pay Leonard $52 million in the first year,
and approximately $50 million per season over the next two years.
The extension doesn't include a player option but does have a 15 percent trade kicker.
Leonard's healthy and productive season has contributed to the decision to extend his contract.
Leonard and George had until June 30 to sign extensions with $48.7 million player options for next season.
Both stars entered the season eligible for a maximum extension of four years and $223 million each.
