HP Victus 16 Review and Specs: True Budget Beast Laptop

HP Victus 16 Review

HP Victus 16 Review and Specs: HP has just launched new new laptop that is Vicyus 16. This is a budget laptop and gives good performance in gaming as well as in editing. It’s a perfect pick for a student, a new video editor, or a game developer. So, in this article, I’ll share the HP Victus 16 review with its specs.

Here is the HP Victus 16 Review and Specs

HP Victus 16 Design

The Victus has a nice silver look and is kind of synthetic. The logo on the cover is bright, which makes it a clean gaming laptop that can also be used for office or educational needs. But overall, it gives you a premium look. When you hold this budget beast in your hand, you’ll feel premium and the person next to you asks about your laptop.

HP Victus 16 Opening

Previously the screen vibrated a lot but now it is stabilized. In the last model, it takes two hands to open it which seems not good or convenient. But, in this Victus 16, you can open it with one hand which makes it more attractive or preferable.

  • Easy to Carry

It is not super light, especially at the rear, but that is acceptable for a 16” laptop. The individual weight of the laptop isn’t that heavy, but the weight of the charger adds up. However, it’s not as heavy as some other laptops, you can carry this laptop anywhere like in college or at your workplace. It’s quite a light and improved version of the last Victus.

HP Victus 16 Prosessor

It has an Intel Core i7, RTX 4050 graphics, 16GB RAM, and a 16-inch display. You can tinker with these specs but do not expect the price to remain the same. The keyboard illuminates and is easy to use. The touchpad works well too. Overall, we see, that the graphic card is good, you can play games at medium to high settings in 1080p with a single lag with continues 100 plus FPS, and if you wanna to play at 1440p, you’ll get 60 plus FPS in heavy graphic intensive games.

HP Victus 16 Ports

Victus 16 has all the necessary ports. USB, ethernet, audio, and more. It has a Type-C charging option, which is convenient. However, it should be noted that the extra storage slot is limited to one, which is not ideal.

  • Inside the Laptop

Installing it is a bit of work with eight screws. It’s no longer as upgradeable as it once was with just a single slot for storage. The Wi-Fi is a little slow too.

HP Victus 16 Audio

The speakers sound great – better than those offered by some more expensive models of laptops. If you’re playing games like PUBG you’ll feel enemies around it providing the correct footstep coming from the place near you. And if we talk about multimedia experience, it is also great, if you’re watching any web series the sound you receive is great and not unnatural.

HP Victus 16 Battery

By watching videos, the battery lasts for about 8 hours. However, when it comes to performance, particularly without a charge, it isn’t the best. Overall, the battery backup is way better than other Windows laptops. Common window laptops give a battery backup of 4 to 5 hours, but not in this case.

HP Victus 16 Temperature

It has fans for cooling. When it’s resting, it stays cool but the fans are a bit too loud. When playing games, the laptop might heat up a bit, but not that much. If you’re playing games like Cyberpunk 2077, it may lag at 1080P setting.

  • Playing Games

For gaming, it’s pretty good. It’s not perfect, but it can keep up with most popular games. This could be a viable option if you’re mindful of your budget. You can play GTA 5 at 80 plus FPS, and Forza Horizon 5 at 60 plus fps on high 1080p settings.

HP Victus 16 Screen

The screen is just okay. My frequency is 60 Hz, yet others have higher ones. The colors are good and more than bright. It is not hurricane-speed but good for everyday use.
