The Elon Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which was tasked with slashing unnecessary spending, announced on Friday that it had discovered $1.9 billion that the Biden administration had misappropriated.

The money was recovered from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
