Taylor Swift Gives $197 Million in Bonuses to the Eras Tour Crew

According to Rolling Stone, Taylor Swift has paid out $197 million in bonuses to her crew and musicians since launching the Eras Tour in March 2023.

According to People, the crew members who received the bonus in addition to their salaries include truck drivers, caterers, instrument technicians, the merchandise team, the lighting and sound team, production staff and assistants, carpenters, dancers, the band, security, choreographers, pyrotechnics, riggers, hair stylists, makeup artists, wardrobe stylists, physical therapists, and members of the video team.

The substantial bonuses were revealed as the Eras Tour came to an end on December 8 after three consecutive shows in Vancouver. At the end of her 149th performance, Swift sold $2,077,618,725 tickets, setting a new record for concert tour ticket sales. Coldplay previously held the record for the most ticket sales for their Music of the Spheres tour, selling over 9.3 million tickets and making $1 billion.

Any fan would tell you that getting tickets to the Eras Tour required navigating a crowded, frequently crashed ticketing system. Swift’s sold-out gigs in North America, South America, Australia, Europe, and Asia drew over 10 million fans, despite the difficult efforts to buy tickets on Ticketmaster.
