Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni revealed that quarterback Jalen Hurts was suffering with an ankle injury when he was a limited participant in practice a few weeks ago. The team had categorised Hurts as resting.
Sirianni attempted to claim that he believed he was being questioned about someone else, but it was obvious at the time that he was referring to the quarterback, and it is even more obvious now on Wednesday. This time, Hurts was classified as limited due to his ankle.
During a news conference on Wednesday, Hurts stated that the brief workout was a component of a plan the club created following last Thursday’s game to make the most of the additional time off and “make sure you’re doing the things you need to do to keep on top of stuff.”
Bryce Huff, an edge rusher, missed practice due to wrist surgery. Defensive tackle Milton Williams (foot), wide receiver DeVonta Smith (hamstring), and linebacker Jalyx Hunt (ankle) were all sidelined.
Wide receiver Britain Covey (shoulder) was fully active, while linebacker Nakobe Dean (groin) was limited. On Wednesday, Covey was cleared to return from injured reserve.
